Frequently Asked Questions
Q:What paper do you print on?
I print all my work on premium Fuji Crystal DP II paper. It has a slightly textured surface that brings out the depth and color in the photographs. The finish gives images a natural, almost luminous quality without being glossy. The paper is durable, fade-resistant, and feels substantial when you hold it. It's the same type of paper used by professional photographers and printing studios.
Q: Are these real photographs?
Yes, completely. Every single image in Nordic Nature Prints was shot by me, on location, with no AI generation or digital landscape manipulation. I only photograph what's actually there. If you see a print of a Norwegian fjord or Swedish forest, that's because I stood there and captured it. No shortcuts, no AI fills, no generated skies. Real light, real places, real moments.
Q: What sizes are available?
I offer five standard sizes to fit different spaces and walls: - 20x30 cm (extra small) - 30x40 cm (small) - 40x50 cm (medium) - 50x70 cm ( large) - 70x100 cm (extra large) All prints are borderless, so the image extends edge to edge.
Q: Can I order a custom size?
Yes contact me via the contact page and we can discuss a custom size.
Q: Do the prints come framed?
No, I send the prints unframed so you can choose how to display them. This gives you flexibility to match your home's style, whether that's a simple black frame, wood, or a more modern option. Frames often break in shipping so which makes the shipping very expensive.
Q: How should I frame my print?
Any standard frame with glass or acrylic protection will work well. I'd recommend using museum-quality glass to preserve the print long-term, but regular glass does the job too. The Fuji Crystal DP II paper surface pairs beautifully with both traditional and contemporary frame styles. If you're looking for frame recommendations based on your space, feel free to reach out.
Q: What makes your prints eco-friendly?
I work with printing partners who use sustainable practices. Their process minimizes water waste and uses environmentally responsible inks. The Fuji Crystal DP II paper I use is sourced responsibly and the production methods keep environmental impact low. I care about these Nordic landscapes enough to photograph them, so of course I care about protecting them too.
Q: How long does shipping take?
All prints are made on demand, which means production starts when you place your order. Once produced, estimated delivery times are 4-8 business days for Sweden and 5-10 business days for other EU countries. These are estimates and can vary depending on local postal services. Shipping costs are calculated and shown at checkout before you confirm. Depending on the shipping method, you may receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
I currently ship to countries within the European Union. Since we ship from within the EU, no customs duties should apply for EU orders. I'm not yet shipping outside the EU, but if you're interested, send me a message and I'll see what I can do. For EU orders, no import duties should apply.
Q: Can I return a print?
Because every print is made to order, specifically produced with the image, size, and finish you selected, returns under the standard 14-day EU right of withdrawal don't apply (EU Consumer Rights Directive, Article 16(c)). That said, if your print arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from what was shown on the website, contact me within 14 days at sietsevdn@gmail.com with your order number and a photo. I'll arrange a reprint or full refund at no cost. If you need to cancel before production starts, reach out as quickly as possible and I'll do my best to help.
Q: Why organize prints by season?
I believe wall art should shift with the seasons. Your home has a different feel in winter than summer, spring feels different from fall. Hanging a winter landscape in July just doesn't match the energy of the season. By organising the shop by season, I'm inviting you to refresh your walls with images that match what's happening outside. It's a simple way to keep your space feeling alive and connected to the world around you.
Q: Do you accept special requests?
If you're looking for a specific landscape or region from the Nordic countries, or if you have a custom project in mind, reach out and let me know. I'm always interested in hearing what draws people to these places.
Q: Can I use the images commercially?
Purchasing a print gives you a physical copy for personal, non-commercial use only. All photographs are my original work and are protected by copyright. If you're interested in using an image commercially (for a project, office, publication, etc.), reach out at sietsevdn@gmail.com and we can talk about licensing.
